Have you ever noticed how different riding a bicycle through your hometown is from driving? Our Inbound Cuba team came to the same conclusion. In 2016, we collaborated with a local cycling company to create the first bicycle tour of Centro Habana so that guests could experience the authenticity that this area still has. Centro Habana is Havana’s highest-populated neighborhood and the second oldest. Its crumbling buildings, solares, and folklore reveal a different but equally interesting side to Havana.

This half-day tour takes guests along Centro Habana streets, stopping to speak to cuentapropistas (self-employed), shop owners, taking the smells and sounds of a less-visited area. It is immersive and intended for those looking for a real-life perspective of Havana.

After a relatively easy morning in the saddle, the adventure concludes with lunch at a paladar (family-owned restaurant) known for its traditional cuisine and unique decor. It sounds like a perfect day spent discovering the real Havana while also getting some exercise.
